Dec. 1 -- Arctech Solar issued the following news release:

Arctech, the world's leading tracking, racking, and BIPV solutions provider, announced they had harvested a 29MW fixed tilt project in Taiwan, China. The company has an accumulated 137 MW fixed tilt portfolio in the region.

In the global spotlight, Taiwan has been proactively progressing in the process of transitioning to renewable energies for the generation of its grid electricity. Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has set the target of raising the island’s total PV installations to 20GW by 2025.

Recently, the local government advocated they were aiming to have solar energy panels installed on at least 1,000 rooftops across Taiwan in a “citizen participation” plan as part of efforts to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Due to massive investments in solar power production in the region, Asia-Pacific has the largest share of the fixed-tilt solar PV market. Rising environmental issues have caused Asia-Pacific countries to rapidly adopt solar energy. Furthermore, some governments intend to phase out electricity generation from conventional sources like coal and nuclear power. The rising degree of public knowledge about the benefits of renewable energy is a significant boost for the fixed-tilt solar PV sector.

Fixed tilt solar PV systems tilt the system at a specific angle to allow for the best solar power capture. This type of solar PV system has seen widespread use in utility-scale PV in both developed and developing countries in recent years.

Until the end of November 2022, Arctech has a cumulated 34GW fixed-tilt portfolio globally.
