December 1, 2022 - Interfax Russia & CIS Energy Newswire

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Russia's nuclear power plants boosted electricity generation 1.41% year-on-year to more than 204.2 billion kWh in January-November 2022, Rosenergoatom said.

Output totaled 103.06% of the Federal Anti-monopoly Service's (FAS) balance target.

Electricity generation at NPPs totaled 20.6 billion kWh in November.

The share of NPP generation in Russia remains at around 20%.

Russian NPPs could produce more than 222 billion kWh of electricity in 2022, Alexei Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation, said in early November.

Generation over the next five to six years should remain at the level of 220-222 billion kWh, Likhachev had previously forecast.

Rosatom's Russian NPPs overall produced 222.4 billion kWh of electricity in 2021.
