CEH finds offtaker for Texas liquified green hydrogen

    December 2, 2022 - SeeNews Renewables

December 2 (Renewables Now) - Clean Energy Holdings LLC (CEH) has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with an unnamed offtaker for up to 30,000 kg per day of liquified green hydrogen from its 250-MW Clear Fork green hydrogen project in Texas.

The creation of a partnership between CEH, EPC contractor Equix Inc and other partners for this project was unveiled earlier this year.

CEH said on Friday that after the LoI, which concerns phase one of the project, formal business agreements are being developed with advisory support from ING Americas.

Offtake is a key step in bringing the project closer to reality.

“Energy security and decarbonizing the transportation fuel sector are key drivers for this letter of intent,” said CEH president and co-founder Cornelius Fitzgerald.

CEH is partnering with Chart Industries Inc (NYSE:GTLS) on the technology required to liquefy, store and transport the hydrogen to customers globally.
