The Supreme Council of Economic Coordination was held on Wednesday evening under the chairmanship of Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi with the heads of the other two branches taking part.

In this meeting, considering the urgent need of the country to increase the power generation capacity and the irreplaceable role of nuclear power in diversifying the country's energy portfolio, it was decided to take necessary measures to accelerate the construction of the second and third phases of the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
