Scope :
Mzimba Wind Farm is a 150MW onshore wind power project. It is planned in Northern Region, Malawi. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.
The project is being developed by DI Frontier Market Energy & Carbon Fund and Droege Energy. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the Mzimba Wind Farm (Mzimba Wind Farm-I) will be sold to Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 50MW.
