Finnish wind power company Suomen Hyötytuuli has decided to build a 243-MW onshore wind farm with 38 6.4-MW wind turbines in Siikajoki, Finland. The value of the investment is around EUR 330mn. The estimated annual production of the wind farm is 700 GWh. Suomen Hyötytuuli has signed agreements for 38 Vestas V162-6.2 MW wind turbines, to be supplied by Danish wind turbine solutions and services provider Vestas Wind Systems. A total of 34 of the wind turbines will be connected to Elenia's and four to Finland's electricity transmission system operator Fingrid's grid. The construction phase starts at the end of 2022 and the wind farm is expected to be in operation in 2025.
