Small hydroelectric power plants put into operation in Oguz region

Baku/05.12.22//Turan: On December 2, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of a cascade of small hydroelectric power plants Oguz-1, Oguz-2 and Oguz-3 on the Dashagyl River in the Oguz region, the website of the head of state. The President was informed that the capacity of the cascade of power plants is 3.6 MW. Electricity generation at the stations is 15 million kWh per year.

It was noted that the energy demand of the Oguz region with a population of 44 thousand people is 5-6 MW. The cascade of power plants will satisfy half of this demand.

All three power plants are connected to the Azerenerji SCADA system and integrated into the general energy system of Azerbaijan. -0-
