January 19 (Renewables Now) - Wind parks in the UK generated 304,215 MWh on January 18 and accounted for 36.37% of all power produced in the country on that day.
Overall electricity generation for the day amounted to 836,436 MWh, data by Elexon, the Balancing and Settlement Code Company (BSCCo), show.
Biomass power plants generated 48,044 MWh, which is equal to a 5.74% share.
