Masdar and China’s Goldwind signed an agreement to supply 111 turbines for this wind farm. In accordance with the agreement, wind generators and turbines are delivered to Uzbekistan from Lanzhou on special vehicles.
The station will be put into operation at the end of the year and will become the largest wind farm in Central Asia.
According to the Ministry of Energy, with the start of the station at full capacity, 1 billion 800 million kilowatt-hours will be produced annually. This will help save 540 million cubic meters of natural gas annually and prevent the release of 720,000 tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere.
This major project is being implemented in accordance with the resolution of the President of December 22, 2020.
