Germany : Walker welcomes planned hydrogen pipeline across Europe

    January 26, 2023 - Al Bawaba Business

Energy Minister Thekla Walker sees the planned hydrogen pipeline from Spain via France to Germany as good news for climate protection and the economy in Baden-Wrttemberg.

Baden-Wrttemberg Energy Minister Thekla Walker was pleased to hear that France and Germany want to facilitate hydrogen transport from Spain throughout Europe.

"This is good news for climate protection and the economy in our country too, so that we can move forward with the conversion of the energy supply to renewable sources more quickly," said Walker on January 23, 2023 in Stuttgart.

The planned hydrogen line called "H2Med" between Barcelona and Marseille is to be extended to Germany. It is important that green hydrogen also arrives in Baden-Wrttemberg. As the state government in Berlin, we will continue to do this with vehemence.
