The deficit of electricity in Ukraine's energy system has dropped down to about 20% of the needs as the consumption fell against the end of January, the state power grid operator Ukrenerho said on Telegram on 2 February.
Ukrainian generating capacities now satisfy about 80% of consumers' needs following a thermal power unit reconnection to the grid after maintenance and an increase in the output of hydro power stations, it said.
Ukrenerho further said it still applies power consumption limits to consumers in all regions of Ukraine.
The most stringent restrictions are in place in Odesa Region where the shortage is the highest, it said.
