NTR buys 46-MW wind portfolio in France for 2nd renewables fund

    February 2, 2023 - SeeNews Renewables

February 2 (Renewables Now) - Dublin-based infrastructure investor and asset manager NTR said on Thursday that it has wrapped up the final acquisition for its second renewable energy fund, taking over a 46-MW wind power portfolio in France.

The NTR Renewable Energy Income Fund II is now richer by 11.5 MW from the operational wind farm Momerstroff I in France’s Grand Est region. The five-turbine wind farm has been in operation since 2006.

The portfolio also includes the Momerstroff II project, currently in late development. This wind farm will have a capacity of 34.5 MW across ten turbines. NTR expects its commercial operation to start in the first quarter of 2026.

The package was sold by ecoJoule GmbH and eolec SAS, both members of German renewables developer deanGruppe. The price was not disclosed.

NTR, through the second renewable energy fund, has invested in onshore wind, solar, and battery storage projects in six European countries.
