Germany's Enercon sells 34.5MW wind park in Romania to Premier Energy

    BUCHAREST (Romania), January 25 (SeeNews) - German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon has sold an operational 34.5 MW wind park in Romania to Cyprus-based natural gas provider and distributor Premier Energy, law firm Wolf Theiss said.

    Enercon sold 100% of the shares held in Ecoenergia, the Romanian company operating the wind farm in Stejaru, Tulcea county, Wolf Theiss which advised Enercon on the deal said in a press release last week.

    The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

    The deal was signed on December 17 and obtained merger clearance from Romania's Competition Council earlier this month.

    Enercon is a wind turbine manufacturer based in Lower Saxony, Germany which employs over 14,000 at its production facilities in Germany, Brazil, India, Canada, Turkey and Portugal.

    Premier Energy P.L.C. is a holding company with direct and indirect interest in various companies in Romania and Moldova. In Romania, Premier Energy P.L.C. owns Premier Energy SRL, Ligatne Gas, B.E.R.G. Gas System and Premier Energy Trading, according to its website.
