    BP Launches Two Bids For Power Generation From Two Sites In HKW Zone In Netherlands

    News: BP has invited bids for electricity and green hydrogen production from two sites at 1.4GW Hollandse Kust West (HKW) offshore wind farm zone in Netherlands. Two separate tenders of 700MW each have been launched for the sites VI and VII of HKW with total area of 176sq km. Bids for site VI will be evaluated on eco-innovation criteria, with EUR75mn (USD78.23mn) innovations. Bids for site VII will be evaluated on systems integration criteria, with focus on coupling offshore wind power generation with 500MW of electrolysers to produce 50,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per annum for it's Rotterdam refinery, according to press release from BP.
