Fury of 'Agatha' leaves 46 thousand people without power in the coasts of Oaxaca

    Oaxaca - The Federal Electricity Commission reported that due to the passage of hurricane 'Agatha', 46,563 people were left without electricity on the coasts of Oaxaca, which represents less than 3 percent of the total number of users in the region.



    However, the company indicated that it will begin to reestablish service until weather conditions permit.



    "CFE personnel have toured the electrical infrastructure to identify possible damages and will begin repairs as soon as weather conditions permit," it said in a statement.



    This afternoon, Governor Alejandro Murat informed that the port of Huatulco was without electricity.



    Likewise, CFE highlighted that it has deployed 1,324 electrical workers, 231 cranes, 412 vehicles, 45 emergency plants, 17 lighting towers, two all-terrain vehicles and a helicopter.

    , with winds of 165 kilometers per hour and gusts of 205; however, it decreased its intensity to category 1 and is expected to become a tropical storm.
