Norway: Hydro Rein plans for stock market quotation

M-Brain Nordic News

Hydro Rein, the renewable energy company of Norwegian group Norsk Hydro (Hydro), is preparing for a stock market quotation in the latter part of 2022 as planned. However, the market is volatile and the development closely monitored, CEO Olivier Girardot says. Since the company was established in late 2020, Hydro Rein has invested in several wind farm projects in Sweden, entered a joint venture with Equinor and RWE Renewables about development of a seabed-fixed wind farm in the North Sea and become partner in solar energy projects in Brazil. Its largest project so far, development of wind and solar energy in Brazil in co-operation with Green Investment Group (GIG), a company owned by Macquarie Asset Management, was announced on 1 June.
