Commissioning of the Les Bouchats wind farm in France for a total of approximately 20 MW
Genoa, 9 June 2022 - ERG announced the commissioning of the Les Bouchats wind farm in France, situated in the Grand-Est region, with a total capacity of 19.8 MW.
Consisting of nine Vestas V 110 2.2 MW turbines, the wind farm was developed and built in-house. When fully operational, it will generate a total of around 52 GWh per year, preventing the emission of around 25,000 tonnes of CO2 each year. The plant will benefit from a FIT tariff for 20 years from its commissioning.
ERG signed a partnership agreement with Volterres, a green energy supplier group, to offer to approximately 200 residents in the nearby areas the possibility to access to a supply of clean, wind farm-generated electricity at competitive prices.
ERG CEO Paolo Merli commented:"With the commissioning of the Les Bouchats wind farm, we now have more than 600 MW of total installed wind and solar power in France in line with our internationalisation and development process. The agreement to supply electricity locally further confirms our engagement towards communities for a sustainable development".
