In 2024, Nakhchivan will be connected to the energy system of Azerbaijan

    Baku/15.06.22//Turan: In 2023-2024, Azerenergy OJSC plans to connect the Nakhchivan power grid to the general energy system of Azerbaijan. Baba Rzayev, President of Azerenergy OJSC, said this.

    According to him, the process will be carried out within the framework of the energy project between Azerbaijan, Turkey and European countries.

    The first stage has already started and should be completed in 2022-2023. At the second stage, in 2023-2024, it is planned to connect the Nakhchivan power grid to the general energy system of Azerbaijan.

    "The third stage provides for the creation of a converting substation. We want to build a substation with a capacity of at least 1,000 MW, ensure connection with Iran and sell electricity to Europe through Turkey," the head of Azerenergy said. -0-
