    News: The government of Burundi has started work on its portion of the Burundi-Rwanda transmission line project. The EUR24.4mn (USD24.9mn) project, co-financed by the African Development Bank and the EU, includes the construction of a 220 kV line from the Burundi-Rwanda border to the capital Gitega via Ngozi. A consortium of India-based Transrail Lighting and Korea-based Hanbaek secured a contract to deliver the project (Afrik21).
