Wholesale electricity prices continue to rise

    Wholesale electricity prices in Austria continue to rise. For September 2022, the Austrian electricity price index (ÖSPI) shows an increase of 9.2 percent compared to the previous month. Compared to September of the previous year 2021, the ÖSPI is 256.2 percent higher. In relation to the base year (2006 = 100), the index calculated by the Austrian Energy Agency reached a level of 404.93 points in September 2022.
