    Wood Selected As Principal Designer For 100MW Floating Wind Project In Scotland

    News: John Wood Group has won principal designer and pre-front-end engineering design (FEED) contracts for a 100MW floating wind farm off Peterhead in the East Coast of Scotland. Called Salamander, the project is a joint venture between Simply Blue Group, ├śrsted and Subsea 7. Under the deal, Wood will manage a system level pre-FEED to enable the planning, costing and risk-assessment of a FEED design process. Wood will also provide design services for the subsea and onshore cables, along with grid and onshore electrical connections, according to a press release from Wood.
