    News: Saipem and Siemens Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop a 500MW floating substation. The proposal includes the construction of a high-voltage alternating current floating electrical substation with 500MW of capacity for installation in deep water. Saipem and Siemens Energy’s floating offshore substation concept will be based on a proven semi-submersible substructure (reNews Biz).
