    EWA Receives Technical Bids For Third Phase Of AlDur Project In Bahrain

    News: The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) of Bahrain has received technical bids for consultancy services of the AlDur Phase 3 power and water plant in Bahrain. The scope of work includes consultancy services for a combined cycle power plant with capacity between 1.5GW and 1.8GW, and a seawater desalination plant with capacity of 227,304.5cubic metres of water per day. Deloitte & Touche, KPMG and Ernst & Young were bidders for the project. The power plant is likely to reach early commercial operation, with half capacity, in Q227 and be fully operational before Q228. The desalination plant is due for operations in 2028 (Saudi Gulf Projects).
