Wind energy profits

Daily Mail

WITH domestic and business electricity consumers' backs to the wall financially, why is it

that while wind energy companies are selling their generated electricity at vastly increased prof its to the National Grid, they are still receiving tens of millions annually in subsidies from the Government, paid for by the taxpayer?

These handouts should surely be diverted instead to subsidise consumers, not fat cat companies riding on the back of the headlong rush to

    achieve unattainable net zero targets.

MIKE MITCHELL, Nairn. DOES the Government's price cap mean that households can use as much energy as they like and the Government will pay the difference?

    JOHN MCGILL, Dumfries.
