Businessmen from Afghanistan purchased liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Turkmen production during trading on March 1 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased 500 tons of LNG on the exchange at a price of $510 per ton. The total amount of the transaction was $255,000.
At the same time, according to the exchange, on March 3, businessmen from the UAE purchased 46 tons of dried licorice roots in the amount of $23,000.
Meanwhile, in Turkmenistan as a whole, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was exceeded by 12.7 percent in 2022, and the plan for the production of liquefied gas - by 5.1 percent.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
