Fleeced over fuel

THE changes to gas and electric prices confirm that some companies are profiteering.

Due to the high cost of energy, we all reduced our consumption over winter, reducing their income. Spring is arriving and we will be reducing our consumption even more.

The latest price change shows a pitiful reduction in cost per kwh, despite the large reduction in wholesale gas prices, and a much larger increase in the daily standing charge. We're being fleeced.

I SIGNED up for peak saving with British Gas, but when I was away on holiday and everything was turned off, I was told that I hadn't used less electricity than normal. It just shows this offer is a load of hot air and they are making it up as they go along.
