    Baker Hughes to Provide Two MRCs for Sempra Infrastructure's Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 Project

      Following a positive Final Investment Decision (FID), Baker Hughes, an energy technology company, has been awarded an order by Bechtel to supply two Main Refrigerant Compressors (MRCs) for Sempra Infrastructure's Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 project in Jefferson County, Texas.

      Sempra Infrastructure aims to help U.S. meet continuing growth in demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) by providing critical new export infrastructure in the U.S through the Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 project, Sempra Infrastructure.

      With a nameplate capacity of roughly 13 MTPA, Baker Hughes will provide four Frame 7 turbines coupled with eight centrifugal compressors over two LNG trains, as well as two electric motor powered compressors for the plant's boosting services.

      Sempra Infrastructure now has access to the greatest production levels possible for the plant's design, as well as operational flexibility, high availability, and reduced emissions thanks to Baker Hughes' well-proven gas technology solution, which was chosen for Port Arthur LNG Phase 1. The Frame 7 turbine has a strong track record for energy efficiency, availability, dependability, and upkeep.
