Belectric bags 150-MWp solar O&M deal in England

    March 13, 2023 - SeeNews Renewables

March 13 (Renewables Now) - The British unit of German solar developer Belectric has been chosen to deliver operations and maintenance (O&M) services for an over 150-MWp portfolio of solar parks in the UK.

Belectric Solar Ltd UK said last week it would perform the job for three years under a framework agreement with UK solar and energy storage climate impact fund NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd (LON:NESF). The award was secured following a competitive tender process.

The portfolio covered by the agreement consists of at least 10 photovoltaic (PV) farms in English counties, including Dorset, East Sussex and Lincolnshire. The individual capacities of the plants range between 5 MWp and 34 MWp.

Belectric noted it started providing O&M services for the first three solar parks included in the bundle in September last year. The process is overseen by WiseEnergy, NextEnergy Solar Fund’s operating asset manager.

Belectric, part of integrated energy services provider Elevion Group BV, gas installed more than 4 GW of PV capacity globally.
