Offshore wind power to play an important role in Vietnam's future

    March 17, 2023 - Vietnam News Gazette

16 March 2023 (VOV5) A seminar on promoting Vietnam's offshore wind power development based on international practices and policy recommendations was held in Hanoi on Thursday. Nguyen Duc Hien, deputy head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission, said that Vietnam holds great potential and advantages for wind energy development.

'This is a new field for Vietnam from the model approach to the completion of mechanisms and policies. In order to realize the goal of offshore development, opinions of international experts are very valuable,' said Hien.

'The Party Central Committee's Economic Commission will gather international experiences to add to the assessment report to propose competent authorities to soon improve mechanisms and policies,' Hien added.

This seminar is part of the energy partnership program between the governments of Vietnam and Denmark.
