Wind farms produce 49.10% of UK power on March 16

March 17 (Renewables Now) - Wind parks supplied 303,679 MWh of electricity to UK’s grid on March 16, reaching a share of 49.10%.

Overall, UK power plants produced 618,483 MWh on that day, based on data by Elexon, the Balancing and Settlement Code Company (BSCCo).

Biomass-fired power plants fed 36,866 MWh into the grid, accounting for 5.96% of the total.
