    Power Grid Corporation surges on acquiring 'KPS2 Transmission'

      India, March 24 -- Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 223.00, up by 0.95 points or 0.43% from its previous closing of Rs. 222.05 on the BSE.

      The scrip opened at Rs. 222.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 224.25 and Rs. 220.95 respectively. So far 50886 shares were traded on the counter.

      The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 248.25 on 10-May-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 186.35 on 26-Sep-2022.

      Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 229.20 and Rs. 220.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 156215.27 crore.

      The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.50% and 3.16% respectively.

      Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), pursuant to its selection as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding, has on March 21, 2023 acquired 'KPS2 Transmission' (KPS2TL), the Project SPV to establish Establishment of Khavda Pooling Station-2 (KPS2) in Khavda RE Park, on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis from the Bid Process Coordinator - REC Power Development and Consultancy. The entity was acquired with a net payment of about Rs 11.17 crore.

      The Transmission system comprises of establishment of a new 765/400kV GIS in the State of Gujarat. The transmission system is an Inter State Transmission System Project and is to be completed in 21 months.
