March 28 (Renewables Now) - Wind parks across the UK produced 101,934 MWh on March 27 and accounted for 17.16% of the country's electricity generation on that day.
Overall, electricity generation for the day stood at 593,891 MWh, data by Elexon, the Balancing and Settlement Code Company (BSCCo) show.
Biomass-fired power plants generated 43,571 MWh, slicing a 7.34% share of the power mix for the day.
