Wind turbines delivered to Bukhara from China

March 30, 2023 - Central Asian News Service

AKIPRESS.COM - Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power is building two wind farms with a capacity of 500 MW each in Peshkun and Gijduvan districts of Bukhara region.

According to the Ministry of Energy, wind turbines were delivered by special vehicles from China. 158 turbines for these stations will be supplied by China’s Envision.

The power plants are scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2024, UzA reported.

Once launched, the stations will produce 3.6 billion kWh of electricity per year. As a result, it will be possible to annually save up to 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas and prevent harmful emissions into the atmosphere in the amount of 1 million tons.
