Wind generators are delivered from China for the wind power plant under construction in the Bukhara region

    March 30, 2023 - UzDaily

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (http://UzDaily.com">UzDaily.com) -- Two wind farms with a capacity of 500 MW each are being built by the Saudi company ACWA Power in Peshku and Gijduvan districts of Bukhara region.

Wind generators for the wind power plant under construction in Uzbekistan are delivered from China on special vehicles.

158 turbines for these stations will be supplied by the Chinese company Envision.

The power plants are scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2024.

After commissioning, the stations will produce 3.6 billion kWh of electricity per year. As a result, 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year will be saved and 1 million tons of emissions of harmful gases into the atmosphere will be prevented.

These major projects are being implemented in accordance with Presidential Decrees No. 5001 and 5003 from 23 February 2021.
