Twelve new wind turbines by Energie AG in Upper Austria by 2030

    March 31, 2023 - APA EconomicNews Service

The majority state-owned energy company Energie AG Oberösterreich plans to build 12 new wind turbines in the existing Kobenaußerwald wind park by 2030. This 100-million-euro investment, in partnership with the Bundesforste and Energiewerkstatt, could power the entire district of Braunau with energy from the 18 turbines. The company Sternwind plans to replace old turbines with more powerful ones and build four new ones in Vorderweißebach, which could supply electricity to 45,000 households. These projects have a "high probability of being approved," according to the state governor and the minister of economics.
