Salzburg AG reduces electricity prices

The Salzburg AG has announced a reduction in electricity prices for private customers from 1 June, with the new tariff set at 19.90 cents per kilowatt hour, down from 27 cents. Customers must actively switch to the new tariff to benefit from the reduction. The price reduction was informed by a report from the Arbeiterkammer, which found that a previous price increase was illegal. Around 250,000 customers can benefit from the price reduction, which makes Salzburg AG one of the cheapest energy providers in Austria.
