    RenewableUK: Media invitation to Global Offshore Wind 2023 conference and exhibition

      Global Offshore Wind 2023 takes place at ExCeL in London on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th June. Over 5,000 delegates will be attending the event, which includes over 270 exhibitors from more than 50 countries as well as 200 conference speakers. Other speakers include representatives from bp, National Grid, Ofgem, RSPB, The Crown Estate, Crown Estate Scotland and senior officials from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

      May 17 -- RenewableUK issued the following news release:

      RenewableUK is inviting journalists to the country’s biggest annual international offshore wind event, Global Offshore Wind 2023, which takes place at ExCeL in London on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th June.

      Over 5,000 delegates will be attending the event, which includes over 270 exhibitors from more than 50 countries as well as over 200 conference speakers. These include the Minister for Energy Security and Net Zero Graham Stuart, the Shadow Secretary of State for Climate Change and Net Zero Ed Miliband, the Scottish Energy Minister Gillian Martin and RenewableUK’s Chief Executive Dan McGrail.

      Industry leaders from the biggest companies in the sector will also be speaking at the conference sessions, including senior figures from our event partners Equinor, Ørsted, RWE, Siemens Energy, SSE Renewables and Vestas, and our innovation partner Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult.

      Other speakers include representatives from bp, National Grid, Ofgem, RSPB, The Crown Estate, Crown Estate Scotland and senior officials from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

      A wide range of topics will be covered at the event with two simultaneous conference streams across both days, as well as sessions in our Energy Transition Zone, Innovation Theatre and Supply Chain Hub. Topics include unlocking global investment opportunities, identifying new markets, maximising job creation, growing supply chains worldwide, speeding up the consenting process, building grid infrastructure faster, accelerating the roll-out of innovative technologies such as floating wind, green hydrogen and robotics, and ensuring that the industry continues to build projects in a sustainable way which protects biodiversity.
