FairWind, a wind turbine installation and service solutions company, announced on Friday that it has been awarded the contract to install and manage the Hanze and Ansjovisstroom Wind Farms in the Netherlands.
These wind farms are part of the larger Windplan Groen project and will collectively have a capacity of 120 MW.
Under the contract, FairWind will oversee the construction of 20 GE 6.0-164m RD turbines from the Cypress platform, with the project scheduled to begin in May 2023 and reach full operational status by the end of the same year.
Upon completion, the entire Windplan Groen project is projected to generate an annual output of 1.9 billion KWh.
