Finland: Annual maintenance of TVO's Olkiluoto 1 and 2 plant units completed

Teollisuuden Voima (TVO) completed annual maintenance outages at its Olkiluoto 1 (OL1) and Olkiluoto 2 (OL2) nuclear power plant units in Finland on 19 May 2023. However, due to a turbine fault, OL2 plant had to disconnect soon after connecting and was able to resume electricity production on 20 May 2023. OL1's 10-day refuelling outage was completed on 26 April 2023. The most significant modifications during the maintenance outage included the upgrading of the turbine automation system, the replacement of electrical feed-through modules in the containments as well as the modification of the reactor water level measurement system and the replacement of emergency fans for the off-gas filter system.
