This week, a total of 700 participants from the global offshore wind energy industry will attend "Floating Wind Days" in Haugesund, Norway. The annual meeting is arranged by industry organization Norwegian Offshore Wind. Among the international speakers on the programme are David Hochschild, Chair of the California Energy Commission, Gabriel Davies, Head of Floating Wind at the world's largest offshore wind developer Ørsted, Shigeru Yasu from the Japan Wind Power Association, and the British renewables profile and former MP Melanie Onn. From the Norwegian Government, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Minister of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre and State Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy Andreas Bjelland Eriksen will participate.
