    Armenia : We have a plan to develop Armenia's nuclear capabilities. Nikol Pashinyan

      During the National Assembly-Government question-and-answer session, MP Vahagn Aleksanyan of the NA "Civil Pact" faction was interested in the issue of the US building small modular nuclear reactors in Armenia and other Eurasian states, as Maria, the coordinator of the European, Eurasian and Central Asian support programs of the US State Department, said today. Longin. "I want to understand at what level is this conversation, what are the deadlines that can be discussed now, because it has caused a great positive resonance among the society," asked the deputy.

      Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that the RA government has a plan to develop Armenia's nuclear capabilities. "You also know that our nuclear power plant has a deadline, after which we cannot operate it," Nikol Pashinyan said and added that now Armenia is negotiating with a number of partners on the issue of building a new nuclear power plant. "We are considering which of these options is economically more profitable for us," he said.

      The Prime Minister announced that in the near future a delegation from RA will leave for the USA to learn more about the capabilities of the modular nuclear power plants.
