Adani Green launches 130-MW wind park in western India

    May 30, 2023 - SeeNews Renewables

May 30 (Renewables Now) - Adani Green Energy Ltd (BOM:541450), the renewables business of India’s Adani Group, announced its wind generation capacity in operation has topped 1 GW with the commissioning of a 130-MW wind power plant in western India.

The site is located at Kutchh in Gujarat and already has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) of 130 MW with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at INR 2.83/kWh (USD 0.034/EUR 0.032), a press release said last week.

The successful commissioning of the facility has brought Adani Green’s operational wind generation capacity to 1,101 MW, while its total operational renewable generation capacity has reached 8,216 MW.

The new plant will be managed by the Adani Group’s intelligent Energy Network Operation Centre (ENOC) platform.

The latest renewables asset brought into operation keeps the Indian firm on track to achieve its goal of having a 45-GW renewable energy portfolio by 2030, it noted in the statement.
