Foreign companies will participate in the development of alternative energy Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

    May 31, 2023 - Turan Information Agency

Baku/31.05.23/Turan: Agreements will be signed with a number of foreign companies on the use of solar and wind energy resources of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR), Javid Abdullayev, Director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy stated.

According to him, new business models are being specially considered in relation to Nakhchivan: "The proximity of Nakhchivan to such a large market as Turkey is of particular importance for the production and export of electricity. Special attention is paid to the development of small and medium-sized businesses, both on an industrial scale and in other energy projects. Our partners in renewable energy projects, Masdar, ACWA Power and BP, were required to use local content. That is, if these technologies are produced by domestic companies, then foreign companies should use them." -0-
