      Masdar and Samruk-Kazyna are Planning to Build a Wind Farm. The parties discussed the conditions for the joint implementation of the project for the construction of a new wind power plant with an installed capacity of up to 1 GW with an energy storage system in Zhambyl region.

      May 31 -- Samruk-Kazyna issued the following news release:

      Today the management of Samruk-Kazyna and Kazakhstan Investment Development Fund met with Mr. Abdullah Zayed, the Head of the Development & Investment (Central Asia & Russia), MASDAR.

      The parties discussed the conditions for the joint implementation of the project for the construction of a new wind power plant with an installed capacity of up to 1 GW with an energy storage system in Zhambyl region together with Masdar and KIDFIX.

      At the moment, Samruk-Kazyna is working on the issue of joining the project as a third participant. The first step will be the signing of a Cooperation agreement.
