June 8 (Renewables Now) - European solar developer and independent power producer AMPYR Solar Europe said Wednesday it has secured a EUR 200 million (USD 214m) framework project financing from Dutch lender Rabobank that will allow it to construct 350 MWp of solar parks across Europe.
The company will draw the facility immediately to finance three solar projects in the Netherlands with more to follow later in 2023.
To be located in the communities of Echt-Susteren, Tinte and Venray in the Netherlands, the three solar parks are due to break ground shortly and start operations by the first quarter of 2024.
Set up in 2021 and headquartered in London, AMPYR says that besides the assets under construction, it has a development pipeline of over 1 GWp in the Netherlands and a total pipeline of over 6 GWp including Germany and the UK.
The company acquired the solar business of Dutch firm SolarEnergyWorks in October last year.
