Sweden: Supply opportunities to offshore wind power identified

    June 8, 2023 - M-Brain Nordic News

Business Sweden have presented findings which indicate that offshore wind power offers expansion opportunities for Swedish supply companies in Sweden as well as internationally. The report was presented at the Swedish Offshore Wind Forum in Gothenburg, Sweden. According to the report, Swedish companies generally have a strong offer in the offshore wind power segment. This includes products, components and system solutions. These categories may account for 25% to 35% of the total construction costs for a project. Power cables for land connections, high-voltage direct current (HVDC), key turbine components and green materials are highlighted as some of the most important products offered by Swedish companies. An estimated EUR 20mn (USD 22.12mn) to EUR 50bn will be invested in Europe in offshore wind power until 2030.
