Intec gets EPC jobs for 22 MWp of solar projects in Germany, Italy

    June 9, 2023 - SeeNews Renewables

June 9 (Renewables Now) - German engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) service firm Intec Energy Solutions has won two separate contracts to build solar power projects in Germany and Italy with a combined targeted capacity of 22 MWp.

The contract in Germany has been awarded by energy supplier Münch Energie and concerns a ground-mount project which is designed to generate 4.5 GWh of electricity annually. The 5-MWp Polch Hymer site spans 3.1 hectares and its output is expected to cover the yearly energy needs of more than 1,300 households.

Intec, in partnership with CHINT Solar, has also been hired to provide EPC and operations and maintenance (O&M) services to a portfolio of Italian solar projects with a combined capacity of 17 MWp. The order was placed by Israel's Ecoenergy.

The portfolio includes six separate projects in Sicily with a total capacity of 6 MWp and one 11-MWp project in Piedmont. Upon commissioning, these sites are expected to produce 29,457 MWh of green electricity per year.
