September 12 (Renewables Now) - French renewables company Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA), through its subsidiary Helexia, has signed an agreement to supply up to 46 MW of solar power to Brazilian power trader firm Prime Energy.
Helexia and Exata Energia, a Prime Energy company, have signed a deal under which a total of 14 decentralised photovoltaic (PV) power plants will be built in the states of Parana, Goias and Sao Paulo.
The contracted electricity will be delivered over a period of 20 years, Voltalia said on Monday.
The first three solar projects with a combined capacity of 18.2 MW are already under construction. Voltalia said it expects to complete all solar parks under the deal by the end of 2024.
