The consumption of public services (ISSP) registered in June an increase of 2% with respect to the same month of 2022, while in the comparison with May it reflected an increase of 0.1% in the seasonally adjusted measurement, informed today the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec). By items, the demand for electric power, gas and water registered a 4.3% decrease in the sixth month of the year, while waste collection had a 7% interannual increase. On the other hand, the number of users of passenger transportation increased 19% and the number of vehicles passing through toll booths increased 2.9%. Meanwhile, the postal mail service showed a 6.2% decrease and the telephone sector registered a positive variation of 2.7%. In seasonally adjusted terms, in June compared to May, the demand for electricity, gas and water fell by 0.5% and waste collection rose by 1%. On the other hand, passenger transportation increased 3% and cargo transportation decreased 6%, while vehicles passing through tolls showed an increase of 1.6%. Likewise, the postal mail service showed a decrease of 6.6%, while the telephone sector registered a negative variation close to zero. The Synthetic Indicator of Public Services measures the evolution of a set of services on a monthly basis, by reflecting the evolution in terms of physical volume for each of the items surveyed and of the general level.
