Therefore, consumers with a regulated tariff should know the price of electricity in detail in each of the time slots of the day, so that they can turn on household appliances at home in the cheapest hours. With this, you will be able to reduce electricity consumption with the washing machine, oven or dishwasher, and save on the electricity bill at the end of the month.

      Today's electricity prices fall

The price of electricity today falls to 108.57 euros per megawatt hour (MWh.), according to the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), which represents a decrease of 6.93% compared to the previous day (116.66 euros / MWh.). It is given the circumstance that the cost of electricity in September has recorded an average cost of 101.93 euros per megawatt hour, compared to 156.42 euros in the same month of 2022. However, today, Wednesday, the gas cap will continue not to apply to the electricity bill as it remains below 60.6 euros / MWh, a situation that is unchanged since last February 27.

The cost of electricity in the wholesale market is transferred daily to the consumer's bill. It also includes the costs of adjustment services, marketing, financing, tolls and charges such as interruptibility or auction deficits, among others. Thus, according to data from Red Eléctrica, the average price of electricity today is 0.1743 euros/kWh, compared to 0.1832 euros kilowatt hour the previous day.
